Commander Sideloaders (UK) Ltd was established by, Ian Platts & Frank Platts in order to design & build a British sideloader with all the latest 2010 technology available.
Together Frank and Ian have a combined experience in sideloaders of over 50 years having sold & maintained hundreds of new machines over the last 17 years.
Commander Sideloaders (UK) Ltd are based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire and operate from a 7000 sq ft factory.
We have a large nationwide customer base and have a reputation for the provision of an after sales service which is second to none and it was this customer base which urged us to develop and build a sideloader here in the UK.
Our Sideloader range currently consists of machines with capacities from 3,000kgs to 8,000kgs with further development in progress to extend the range to 10,000kgs capacity.
The 2010 Commander is manufactured to fully comply with The Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and The Machinery (Safety) Regulations 2008 and Commander Sideloaders (UK) Ltd is also an ISO 9001: 2008 company.
The latest 2010 specification Commander Sideloader includes all of the proven, reliable drive attributes which our large nationwide customer base has come to expect from machines supplied by ourselves but also incorporates many new features which have been specifically requested by operators and owners, the most notable of which are, a lower platform height, a quieter and more responsive drive, an updated and modern cab which includes various new features specifically requested by drivers along with an ergonomic air seat as standard, a more robust impact resistant chassis which inturn allows for much greater protection for the lights, an even larger rear opening engine bay for even greater access, gas assisted platform covers, a very simple, maintenance friendly and cost affective hose system and a very reliable and once again maintenance friendly electrical system. We have even looked at details as small as vehicle decals and have made all our decals in ultra highly flouoresant reflective materials to ensure the machine is as highly visible as possible in all situations.
We are already generating significant interest and also a very healthy order book, which in these uncertain and trying times is testament to the quality of our product and our customers confidence in our experience and ability.
